This book is inspired from Al Niffari (Mohamed Ibn Abdul Jabbar Ibn Al Hassan Al Niffari), an early Sufi who wrote the book of “Standings” (Kitab Al Mawaqif), which is a fascinating collection of visionary poems. The “Standings” referred to in the book has a rather subtle meaning; in that each poem or chapter refers to a unique way in which he is made to stand by God. The book includes 10 graphic artwork, in addition to 10 Arabic calligraphy works selected from the Book of “Al Mawaqif” and hand written by the Bahraini calligrapher Abdel Ellah Al-Arab. This book is printed in 50 copies on 300 gm Arch paper size 30×40 cm, with artwork print size 20×14 cm. The book is signed, numbered and printed by the artist himself in 2009. |
هذا الكتاب مستوحى من كتاب المواقف للشاعر محمد بن عبد الجبار بن الحسن النفري، وهو من أوائل الصوفيين في النصف الأول من القرن الرابع الهجري و«المواقف» المشار إليها في الكتاب لها معنى خاص هنا؛ حيث أن كل قصيدة أو فصل يشير إلى طريقة فريدة تمكن بها النفري من الوقوف إلى الله والتحدث معه في أمر ما يتضمن الكتاب ١٠ لوحات جرافيك بالإضافة إلى ١٠ لوحات مخطوطة باللغة العربية بخط الثلث من بعض النصوص المختارة من كتاب المواقف؛ قام بخطها الخطاط البحريني الأستاذ عبد الإله العرب طبع من هذا الكتاب ٥٠ نسخة على ورق آرش ٣٠٠ غرام بقياس ٣٠*٤٠ سم وبقياس العمل الفني ١٤*٢٠ سم وهو موقع ومرقم ومطبوع بيد الفنان في عام ٢٠٠٩
